Description of Issue

Have just built a Nuc as a Roon ROCK. Have been unable to update the database. It appears that my backups haven’t completely worked from the Innuos as when I restore from back up on the NUC it says there are only 50,000 tracks on the database.

So I need to create a new back up from the Zen. I have tried several times but each time the database is missing huge chunks of data. I have tried deleting the previous backups and creating a new one but it now says the database is about 7,000 tracks.

I can still use my Zen but cannot get it to make the full back up I need to complete the migration to the NUC. It’s like it’s only creating an incremental back up rather than the whole database.

I have been copying the back up files from their location on my MacBook to a USB and using that to attach to the NUC to restore.

The NUC has all of the files on a USB drive connected to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as o have spent the entire day trying to get this to work.

Has the music storage location changed? It might help to review the Migration FAQ.

Thanks for that Dan :+1:

That was it. It was definitely pointing at the USB storage to begin with because I could see some of my own tracks. So I assumed that was still right throughout the process.

At some point during the many restore attempts I must have changed that by mistake instead of changing the location of the back up I was trying to restore from.

That explains why I could only see part of the database. It was only showing me the tracks from streaming services.

I’m very relieved!

Thanks again
