The edit ‘album’ option under the … is missing on iOS and iPadOS. Now the only thing visible is ‘Share’ and ‘Go to folder…’ Please advise how to edit albums or metadata from within an album.
This behaviour is documented in the software release notes of the latest version
Do not ask me why Roon has dedided to do this, it would have been nice if they also had indicated why.
On the other hand, on my iPAd, the Edit option is still there:
Please note that my iPad has no wireless connection (i.e. no SIM , only WIFI). If your tablet (iPad or other) has a SIM (slot) it is considered a phone, and in Roon show the same behaviour as a phone)
On the phone format the button should never have been there, it appeared recently and if you clicked it the edit menu was unusable because much too large. The wish for edit capabilities on the phone not withstanding, it made sense to remove it again in this state.
I guess you are correct about it missing on @MacMarty89’s iPad - it might be considered a phone format. I would think this must be in error. Like you, it is present on my iPad as well, but I have a 12.9 Pro and also no SIM.
Would be interesting to know which iPad @MacMarty89 has.
Weird. The edit button now appears on my iPad. On my iPhone it’s not visible. So I guess this ticket is resolved.
