Hey @amb,

Thanks for writing in and for sharing your report! As @bearFNF has mentioned, we’re unable to see any servers tied to your account admin currently, so understanding what machine and what OS you were running Roon with will definitely help.

Generally speaking, if you’re looking to completely reset your current Roon Server database (you may want a back up or two, just to be safe) you can either:

  1. Access the webUI if you are running RoonOS, where there is an option to ‘Reset’ your database:

Here is a link for more information on how to access your webUI (if you’re running RoonOS):

If you’re running Roon Server on a computer or third party machine, you can likely access your Roon Server folder and manually reset your database. Here are the general steps to do so:

  • Make a Backup of your current RoonServer Database
  • Exit out of RoonServer
  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Reinstall the RoonServer App from our Downloads Page to generate a new RoonServer folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database

Let me know if either help, thank you! :folded_hands:

Hi @amb,

We’re going to need more information to take any action on this report. What is the operating system of the machine hosting RoonServer in your setup currently? Do you have a reliable Backup of your database?

If you want to simply “factory reset” your machine to generate a new database on startup, you can delete the Roon Server instance itself per the instructions above.

This thread is now auto-closing due to inactivity, but the steps provided two posts above are the correct path for deleting the database entirely from the machine.
