Unable to find server on K30 connected to EERA DAC in Roon app (ref#CQ7EWG)

Is Roon Server running?

· No, Roon Server is not running.

For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.

· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.

Describe the issue

On our K30 connected to an EERA DAC, we can no longer find the server for this app via the Roon app. I've been trying to update the K30 for over an hour now, but so far without success. Is there another way to do this? Many thanks from France

Describe your network setup

On our Antipodes K30 connected to an EERA DAC, we can no longer find the server for this app via the Roon app.

Hi @jpjambes,

Thank you for your post.

What happens if you select a different server from the button visible in your screenshot? Do you see your Roon Server listed there, or nothing at all?

Our diagnostics server don’t see an active Roon Server or Antipodes streamer associated with the account from which you’ve created this thread. Do you have a second email address from which you use Roon, or does this server belong to another member of your household? Are you a Roon dealer?

In any case, is this RoonServer machine connected via Ethernet, or WiFi? If you rely on a mesh network or have any managed switches, try hardwiring the server to the main router instead of a node. Ensure multicast forwarding is enabled.

Here are our general network recommendations: https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/networking-best-practices#

The more information you can share about your setup (and account), the more equipped our team will be to assist here.

message 2 = Just to clarify: my Roon app is linked to a Qobuz account

However, my account is linked to this email address in France = see attachment

I haven’t tried switching ROON servers; however, I was able to listen to music using the Spotify connector. The problem is therefore clearly with the connection between the ROON app and the K30 Antipodes / EERA DAC. These two devices are connected via Ethernet.

If I understand correctly, the Roon server is installed on the Antipodes; I don’t remember exactly how I installed Roon years ago.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your response.

Hi @jpjambes,

At this point, we’d recommend managing this through Antipodes. Most likely, you’ll need to update its software and check whether Roon Server is running, or update Roon Server there.

Please either enter the local IP address of the Antipodes K30 in a browser, or open http://myantipodes.com. You may also need to check the manual for this machine to confirm the proper way to access its interface.

There, please ensure that Roon Server is running and try to update its firmware.

If you run into network-related errors, please address those with the manufacturer of the machine, or check the Antipodes Support page for guidance.

Thanks.

Hi @jpjambes,

Just checking in on this. Were you able to log into the Antipodes K30 through its local IP address or via http://myantipodes.com, then confirm that Roon Server is running and try updating the device firmware? If you ran into any network-related errors, it may be best to follow up with Antipodes or their support page for the next step. Please let us know what you found.
