I have the Astell & Kern SP3000 and SP3000m DAPs. ARC version 1.0.54 works fine on both devices but subsequent versions of ARC won’t install on either DAP. Trying to install generates the following: “Parse error - There was a problem parsing the package.”
ARC version 1.0.54 is functional for now but does not include the option to access music in folders on my hard drive, which is a standalone powered drive connected to my Roon server via USB. The drive is fine and I can access its folders just fine within the Roon app within ARC on my iPhone.
I’d like to access the folders on my DAPs via ARC. Any suggestions?
Describe your network setup
Server: Roon Nucleus Server Modem: Xfinity XB7 Router: Gateway EERO Pro Switch: Netgear ProSAFE GS108 (unmanaged) External Drive: SanDisk G-DRIVE
Is your device fully charged and do you have ample storage to perform an update?
Assuming that’s true (I personally don’t own a DAP) but why not give this a try. Starting with a backup review Steps 2 and 3 in the following link.
Step 3 may perhaps be your solution.

Thanks @CrystalGipsy no doubt you’re correct. Having read your recent post regarding an earlier model of the A&K which I see that you own I was reminded to ask that Daniel check for a firmware update.
Thanks much I’ve really enjoyed many of your posts regarding fidelity. It’s all out of my league but I’m studying in preparation for future plans
Thanks for the input. The DAP doesn’t draw apps from Google Play, but good thought. And yes, the DAP has been fully charged and there’s ample room for downloads. Firmware is up to date.
@CrystalGipsy and @Singleton - I think you’re both probably right; that AK is likely lagging in it’s readiness for the latest ARC updates. I was hoping someone may know of a solvable reason why I can’t install a more recent update.
Where I said I can access folders within the Roon app, I wasn’t clear that I meant I can see the folders within ARC on my iPhone. But not on the AK DAPs.
