I wrote once, but no answer. I'm trying the anniversary subscription. Windows 10 - pc - cable modem UPC - chrome browser. No wifi. I installed it and managed to log in at first, also to Tidal, but the software couldn't find an audio player. There was nothing clickable on the audio settings page. I have a Creative Z internal card, Singxer SDA 6PRO and Burson dac. Everything works flawlessly with all software and Tidal. I read it afterwards, updated all drivers, latest version, Asio4all...etc. The same, no audio player. I removed Roon (Revo uninstaller), clean reinstall (several times) and it won't log in anymore, it gets stuck on the redirect page. I can log in to the Roon account from a browser. I read in a similar problem that the session can be transferred. I can't interpret this. Cookies deleted, blockers disabled. Avast stopped + Roon added to exceptions. I'm crying...:) Meanwhile, I received a lot of Roon security alerts in my email account that I tried to log in from my location...and it's nothing to do with me if it was me. This is a bit strange to me and I don't know if it could be related to the login problem.? The problem has been going on for several days. Please help! Best regards

Thank you for your post. While firewalls/antivirus might have initially caused your audio device issue, uninstalling Roon without deeply deleted the database has now created an erroneous second database instance on this machine. We’ll need to first delete that and then address the login blockage separately.
Before we begin, you mentioned you attempted to reach support already and received no response. This looks like the first account post we have in our history on Community from you - where did you originally attempt to reach Roon support?
To resolve your issue, you’ll need to take the following steps:
Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
Next:
Add not only RoonServer.exe, but also RoonGoer.exe, RoonAppliance.exe, and RAATServer.exe to your list of approved processes in Avast and the Windows Defender firewall. Make sure you add these to any other network security.
Lastly:
Open Roon and attempt to log back in. If you’re in a login loop, try a different browser or re-try deleting your cookies and clearing the browser cache.
Thank you for your reply!
It’s possible that earlier I didn’t press the “forward question” button as many times as necessary… apologies for that — my English is weak and some parts of the website aren’t translated by Google.
Previously, I thought that a thorough removal (using Revo Uninstaller Pro) and fully disabling the protection would replace these steps.
Now I’ve carried out the suggested steps, but the result is still the same — unsuccessful redirection.
I couldn’t find the RoonGoer.exe file, and the RG folder and its subfolders are empty. The rest of the items appeared multiple times; I allowed all of them, but if protections are disabled, what’s the point of this?
I’ve already reinstalled Chrome. Same result with Edge.
A while ago, I had a free trial. Could that be causing the issue? Could it be that your system is mixing the old and current versions? That I appear to be on an expired trial?
Apologies — I’m not a professional, but I’ve never before had a situation where I couldn’t properly install a commercial software, especially not after working on it for several days.
We’ve recently received multiple reports that antivirus software, such as Avast and Norton, is falsely flagging RoonAppliance.exe as a threat and quarantining it. This file is essential for running the RAATServer, which is responsible for detecting and managing audio outputs. If it’s missing or blocked, it can result in missing audio devices—likely the root cause of the issue you’re experiencing initially.
To better assist you with the login issue, could you please share a screenshot of the point where you’re getting stuck during the login process? This will help us provide accurate next steps.
Hi!
I don’t know what happened. Probably a miracle.
Today I turned on the computer, didn’t change anything with the software that hadn’t been working. It just logged in smoothly, the audio zones are there, everything is working perfectly…
(It couldn’t have been Avast causing the issue, because both it and Defender were turned off.)
(Now they’re both on, and it’s still working.)
Whatever changed must have happened somewhere out in cyberspace, outside my apartment.
As a result of all this, I’m giving up on materialism and looking for a religion that suits me.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards
