Describe the issue

I have two instances of roon, one on mac mini, second on Silent Angel rhein z1+. Yesterday I was loging in and out comparing the hqplayer with no hqplayer , but suddenlyI am unable to login to both of them. It says invalid recaptcha, but I do not see any Captcha. I am using ios version of the roon mobile app. What to do? Did I breake some rules by logging in and out? There was always only one instance of roon active. Let me know. Bart

Describe your network setup

One lan network with wifi network set to be seen by lan (and vice versa)

Hello @Bartosz_Kordynski ,

Thanks for reaching out with your report.

To begin troubleshooting the issue you’re experiencing mostly related to the login mechanism in OsX systems which uses Safari to auth, please review the steps below:

  1. Update Safari
Ensure that Safari is fully updated to the latest version by going to
Apple Menu → System Settings → General → Software Update.
  2. Check for Security Software
Do you have any stateful security tools active on your Mac or network (such as firewall software, antivirus, or parental controls)? These can sometimes interfere with Safari functionality.
Also, let us know if a VPN is currently active on your device, as this can impact login and connectivity.
  3. Disable Content Blockers
Check if you have any Content Blockers enabled in Safari:
  • Open Safari
  • Click on the Safari menu (top-left of screen) → Settings (or Preferences)
  • Go to the Websites tab → Content Blockers
  • If any services are toggled on, please disable them and try logging in again
  1. Enable Pop-Ups
Safari may be blocking pop-ups that are necessary for login. To check this:
  • Safari → Settings → Websites tab → Pop-up Windows
  • Find the site you’re trying to access (e.g., Roon), and set it to Allow
  1. Clear Safari Cache and Cookies
This can often help if you’re encountering CAPTCHA issues or getting stuck during login:
  • Safari menu → Settings → Privacy tab → Manage Website Data
  • Click Remove All (or search for the specific site) and confirm

Let us know what you find after trying these steps, and we’ll continue working with you to get this resolved.

Kind regards,
Vadim

I tried all above. I changed even my default browser to 3 others (firefox, opera, chrome). After that changes I do not receive invalid captcha, but instead I have got a message asking if I downloaded roon from roon website, and there is sign in button which does not work.

What is more - to be able to respond for this support thread - I needed to turned off my wifi, and login via LTE. I have wifi with static IP, I am wondering if my IP is not banned?

Hi @Bartosz_Kordynski,
It’s definitely unusual that you’re running into this issue on Wi-Fi. I can confirm that your IP hasn’t been banned, so that shouldn’t be the cause. Are you experiencing similar issues accessing any other websites while connected to your Wi-Fi?

Could you please share a screenshot of that page with us? That will help us better understand what’s going on.

Sure, thats the page I got after using another browser on ios. Sadly, when I click Sign in - nothing happens. However no further „invalid recaptcha” message.

And NO, the problem is only with roon ios app.

Ok, I finally got logged in. For further cases I will describe what I did.

I just turned off all security measures in IOS Safari settings like: hide my ip adress, prevent cross-site tracking, and I also request desktop website.

I have no idea which of them helped, but now it is finally working. Thank you for your time.

Bart
