You can temporarily reinstall version 2.64, which works with your outdated macOS. The download link is in the release notes:
For Mac users who are not yet able to update to macOS 12 or later, we’re also making a pre-update installer available as a temporary option. This version will not receive future updates or security fixes, and may become incompatible with current Roon Remote or ARC versions over time. You can find the installer here .
Going forward, you need macOS 12 (Monterey), but most Intel Macs that don’t get the update from Apple can easily be updated with Open Core Legacy Patcher (OCLP):
It’s really just:
Download the installer app
Start the installer app, insert USB stick into Mac, click Create macOS Installer and choose the USB stick
Start another app and click button to choose what you want to do (i.e., Build and Install OpenCore)
Reboot Mac and start from the inserted USB stick
The instructions are step by step with pictures, it’s not more difficult than installing Roon ROCK (I’d say less difficult) and everyone managed that.
