Unable to play Tidal as of 04/01/24

Roon Server Machine

Roon Nucleus+

Networking Gear & Setup Details

No VPN. Draytek router. Current download/upload speeds around 230 Mbps

Connected Audio Devices

Various Meridian speakers, played through Meridian 218 zone Players

Number of Tracks in Library

5,978 tracks, sourced only from streaming services, Tidal and Qobuz

Description of Issue

Tracks won’t play from Tidal, but will from Qobuz
I can see Tidal Library, and am able to search for Tidal streaming content. It’s the playing that fails.

I can see that Roon is trying to source the track from Library or from (I can see album/track, and the play bar shows rapid movement, but then Roon moves to next track etc, and then stops with a message of ‘too many failures’.

I have had a Tidal Family Master account for years.
Tidal works on my iPhone (same login).
I have also tried other logins (all are mine)
I have rebooted and ‘reset’ from my Roon webpage.
I have logged in and out of Tidal, several times.
I removed Tidal from Roon in Library (didn’t make any difference to seeing my Tidal Library in Roon - ?).

My Roon software is ‘latest’.

Tidal has been working faultlessly, until yesterday.
Any other troubleshooting recommendations gratefully received.

Have you tried rebooting the network? (Router, Modem, etc.)

You might also try deleting these two directories from the “Roonserver\Cache” directory on the Nucleus.

My screenshot is from my Rock/Nuc but should be similar to what you would see on the Nucleus.

Thank you @bearFNF. This matter is now resolved :+1:. I think it was the network rebooting that finally did it. I had already cleared those Tidal files, and I had restarted Roon, etc, to no avail. Amazing where these gremlins can sit. Thank you
