It appears I have ROON 2.0 (build 1359)
That’s good news. At least you’re running the current version. I would try rebooting everything including your router outward to your Roon server and endpoints, including any involved switches. Also, check your Windows firewall as someone already mentioned. Sometimes during a Roon update they lose their openings for Roon.
Will do.
How do I check the firewall?
Thanks for the help!
Firewall is allowing roon access.
Rebooted everything, confirmed ROON is given access by firewall. No change, still cannot even start ROON.
Hi @kyle_millsap ,
Are you able to use any other Roon Remotes to connect to the RoonServer, and do those work as expected? I know that firewall was mentioned, but have you also checked to make sure you are on a Private network instead of a Public one?
Not to sound pushy, but can you confirm that all 3 applications have Windows Firewall exceptions? Also, is your Windows Network Settings for the Roon Server PC set to “Private”?
Yes, all three have exceptions for private and public. I’m not sure how to confirm network settings for Roon server.
Roon remotes don’t open either
Go to your Windows Settings on your Windows PC, select “Network & internet” and there should be available to you settings to confirm (or make sure) your PC’s network connection is set to either Private or Public. Roon needs it to be set to Private so all devices are discoverable across your network. I am running W11, so can’t remember what Windows 10 actually looks like if you are using W10.
When I try and sign in to ROON on my laptop, it says, there is no account with my email address!
Robert, my firewall has both, private and public network connection checked for all three roon files.
I still cannot open ROON, or, Roon remote.
Does it work on https://account.roon.app/ and does this page show the same email address?
Hi @kyle_millsap,
In your opening post when you said …
… is this what you were referring to …
or has something changed?
If the former than so all this toing and froing with firewalls etc. is somewhat moot at least at this stage.
Please do double check your using the right email address as @Suedkiez has suggested.
I’ll also tag Roon’s @accounts people, to check the status of your Roon account just in case something is amiss there.
@kyle_millsap
When did you buy the ‘lifetime subscription’ could not have been recently i paid 500$ when ROON started
Could be you are being ‘punished’ for waiting so long to buy it—my CFO asked me “What does LIFETIME mean at your age” and was furious i spent the money—but it has paid for itself and I never have looked back.
Is this a trick by Harmon(isn’t the NCIS guy Harmon’s son and wasn’t he former QB at UCLA/USC??).
If you are running a PC with Windows could Steve Jobs/Tim Cook be punishing you for not using APPLE!? This is semi serious ROON Audirvana TIDAL Qobuz ALL work better and easier with Apple products.
I would continue with all the good advice from the Community and Support.
I obviously am no help except to inject some stupid humor into your plight and maybe make you laugh PLUS am all done seeing patients and waiting for Bills/Steelers game although I tell all my patients who wear Buffalo gear to their appts-“There is only ONE football team in NY they play in NJ and wear Blue and don’t wear that stuff here”—so you could say “I have too much time on my hands”.
Hope this makes you smile through this tragedy hope you find a solution.

Great humor and intent! Good info too.
After some gymnastics, with help from the builder of my MUSIC VAULT, I’ve got ROON up and running again! I also bought my lifetime subscription many years ago. My header was a bit misleading, sorry.
Thanks to all who offered help.
Green Bay looks really strong. Watching all the games. Enjoy!
Do you know what was done so that others might see the solution?
