I only have a few days left in my free trial and I still can't use roon. I think the problem is that roon is connected to the wrong server. I have 2 music servers, a Sonos Connect and a Bryston BDP-2. It seems like roon is connected to the Sonos. I want to use roon with the Bryston. How can I switch servers.
Describe your network setup
My modem is a Giga Hub 5500

Go to settings:general and first entry is your current server
If it’s not the one you want just hit disconnect, ignore any warnings.
Then it will present you with any available servers Roon sees in your network, choose the one you want to use.

Just reread your post.
The BDP2 is just a DAC, it is not a Roon server machine.
Now do you mean you want to use the BDP2 as an audio endpoint?
That’s another process entirely.
Settings: audio and it will show you all available endpoints Roon sees, it may need to be enabled of course.
Hi @p2poirier,
Thanks for reaching out about this issue. Did @AceRimmer’s suggestion resolve your issue? If not can you tell us a little more about what you are trying to do with the Bryston?
It did not resolve the issue. First of all the BDP2 is a music server. I play all my music files and use Tidal through it. The Bryston DAC is a BDA. I tried what he suggested, go to Settings/General/Roon Server. The server it shows is “This PC”. I press “Disconnect”. Then it says Choose your Roon Server. It shows “This PC”. It does not show a list of servers. It says “Connect”. When I press “Connect” it shows three options:
1 - This PC (System Output)
2 - Realtek(R)Audio (Enable)
3 - Roon tested - Sonos Connect
It does not show my BDP2 in the list. I want to use Roon through the BDP2 which is Roon enabled.
I have 3 days left in my free trial. If I don’t get this resolved before the end of the trial, I will cancel my subscription.
This has been a very frustrating process. You have to make this more user-friendly. It would be much easier to have a live person to talk you through the process.
But it is not, AFAIK, a Roon Server… It is listed as a Roon Bridge on the Roon Partner page - so it will only operate as a Roon Endpoint in the Roon ecosystem.
