Describe the issue
Starting with the latest build (1554) playback to my AirPort10,115 will stop unexpectedly. At the same time I get a “waiting for your roon server” message from the laptop I am using to control playback. Clicking play to restart playback doesn’t always work.
Everything worked fine in the previous build. This issue started today after updating.
I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.
However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.
First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.
Please double-check that you’ve re-toggled Local Network access for Roon in Privacy & Security settings for your Mac. Sequoia 15.x+ tends to restrict Roon’s network permissions after updates, and symptoms can interrupt playback by severing control to any locally-connected Zones.
The team has a ticket to address this issue and ensure RAATServer is more resilient to Sequoia’s network security.
In the meantime, also ensure that multicast forwarding settings are enabled if you have access to these features in the router settings administration page.
Diagnostic logs have so far failed to reach our servers. At your convenience, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? We’ll use these logs to pinpoint the dropouts. Let us know if you have any questions.
