I currently have an ST i5 which I’ve had for a few years now. It’s been rock solid for me but I’ve made the decision to upgrade to the i7CDR. My library is about 150K tracks and my Roon server is regularly backed up to my NAS. My question has to do with setting up the new server. Can I restore from an i5 backup to the new i7CDR or do I have to start from scratch?
Yes you can restore your Roon database to the new system. Unless you have a lot of playlists it may just be easier to start from scratch.
