Describe the issue

Updating RAM on my Nucleus+, Rev. B. Suggestions on amount (2 x 16 or larger?), brand and speed of RAM to handle 250,000 tracks from 17,000 albums on two internal 8tb SSD Drives. Cost is not an issue so the best RAM for this upgrade would help. Any link to a tutorial for installing this upgrade would be appreciated.

Describe your network setup

Century Link WiFi modem router.

Is the Nucleus crashing? If not, then more RAM won’t do much

It’s dropping out and access to my collection has slowed down and not all of my collection is showing up on searches. What does the RAM do in my system? Also, will there be support for my Nucleus+ with the new units coming out?

This doesn’t necessarily sound like an issue with too little RAM. Something for @support to look into when this topic reaches the top of their queue.

It holds the executable program code and data (like your Roon database).

This may help:

If you only have one stick of RAM, there may be a tiny bit of performance found by using two sticks instead, because this can be used more efficiently. But it’s not a game changer if performance is not satisfactory.

If you want to add RAM:

So get the 2400 MHz from a reputable company.

Something for Roon to answer. My guess would be software obviously yes, hardware as long as there are parts (but unless you are under warranty most repairs apart from changing SSD or the power supply yourself are not cost effective)
