Vertical scrollbar

Why is there no reaction to the “missing vertical scrollbar in the queue window” questions…? In other words: I really would like to have one… Please…?!

I think it is because the screen still scrolls (the whole queue is available as the “scrollbar”).
Either roll the mouse wheel, click and drag, or tap/drag (on phone).
So not a major issue?

Thank you @bearFNF for your answer. I agree, but it’s going to be a whole lotta scrolling with longer lists… I have 1000 entry playlists and I am already on my 20th mouse wheel…

@ronaldwanders Or use the home / end of page up / page down buttons on your keyboard?

That’s my experience as well. Roon really becoming a chore.

It’s no secret that roon made a decision very early on to go with openGL. There is an interesting discussion here from 6 years ago about text handling but it specifically mentions the “effort” involved in mimicking host OS scrollbar handling within openGL.

When the scroll bars disappeared I thought it was just a regression testing issue and they would soon come back but was it a re-design decision?

@Tony_Casey Read the whole thread Tony. Their design choices make sense. Besides, I like Roon too much to make it a deal breaker.

As far as I am concerned this thread can be closed. Thanks y’all for reaching out…!
