I forgot to try removing the HP docking station but now that’s been tested as well. Unfortunately, the same results as before.

I have also tried changing from “Device volume” to “fixed volume” and back again. Unfortunately no difference

When you tested out Fixed Volume, how did you test out adjusting the volume? Can you do this again, but this time test out changing the volume through the Apple Home app?

Ultimately, this issue likely comes down to our current support for AirPlay 2, which we’re still refining. We’re actively working on improving compatibility and ironing out the remaining kinks.

I have tried switching compatibility mode without success.

I’d test out the same thing above - enable compatibility mode, Fixed Volume, and see if you can adjust via the Home app.
