Volume control not working in Roon w. HQPlayer

But am I? I may have overlooked something…

I have volume for hqplayer zone set to variable to allow control of hqplayer volume from Roon. When the Roon app is the active app, the side volume buttons on the iPad control the volume of Roon, which changes the volume in hqplayer desktop.

I don’t think I’ve ever been able to control the volume of hqplayer via the hqplayer5client iPad app using the volume buttons on the iPad. When I use the iPad volume buttons in your app it just turns the iPad up and down.

But for whatever reason your app seems to effect Roon, but not sure why as it seems your app doesn’t to have any use of the buttons. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Those volume buttons are primarily used to control local volume of iPad.

HQPlayer Client also supports media keys, and has a few alternative ones for those as well, if you have a keyboard attached to iPad (or if you run it on macOS, Windows or Linux).

Looks like iOS key bindings are getting a bit confused when you have two players simultaneously active.
