Description of Issue

Roon has been running for me on this same machine/same config & network equipment for 2+ years without issues and through several new builds. It has suddenly stopped working and displays this message. I am not very computer literate but tried suggestions of restarting & turning off firewall.

Hi @Jim_Serenbetz,

Just to avoid doubt, have you clicked on the ā€œStart Roon Serverā€ icon?

Assuming you have, the next step I would suggest is to download the latest version of Roon and manually reinstall it on the PC.

I hope this helps.

May I ask What do you mean by ā€˜Start roon server iconā€™?
Since last update roon has intermitent dropouts and does indeed display that message.
This last uptdate was a disaster.
Iā€™m already searching for an alternative to roon.
And yes I have treinstalled the latest version of Roon. It does not solve the problem.

Windows, Mac:

Refer to the release notes of the latest update for what this is about:

Same issue here. Roon server on my MacBook Air. When restarting Roon it canā€™t find server. So far, restarting the MBA fixes the problem but it is sub-optimal. Hopefully will be fixed with an update soon as I doubt we are the only ones.

Roon Core: MBA, M1 - running 14.1.2 Sonoma.

Right click the Roon icon in the Applications folder, then click Show Content in the context menu. There should be a Roon Server launcher in there
