WAV 24Bit not showing up in my library

Hello,

I have WAV 24-bit versions of albums, but I’m unable to see them in my library when I click on “Versions.” I can only see the MP3 and FLAC versions, but not the WAV 24-bit versions. Is this correct?

Do the WAV files have file tags? Maybe they are just not correctly identified by Roon and hence not sorted into the versions of the album?

In most cases you will have to edit WAV files with file tags. I use Mp3tag to do that.

Use the Focus tool to find all Unidentified tracks and they should show up by their filenames.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply. The WAV files were indeed without tags. It’s strange because they were all from the same shop, and the other versions were correctly tagged. Nevertheless, mp3tag did the trick.

Will Roon automatically update the library, or do I need to start a scan manually?

Yes

Torben

Thank you Torben.

Hi @Torben_Rick, that’s for Audio Analysis it’s not looking at the file tags.

However, when a file is modified either the OS will notify Roon or Roon will see the change during the startup scan or the schedule rescan of shared drives (optional) will catch them.

Alternatively a manual force rescan can be triggered.
