Description of Issue
Hi,
I have a 6 to 10 second delay when I play a webradio with Roon (1 is with Qobuz).
What could be the problem?
Thank you
B.

Hello @Bernard_chabrand , is this for one particular station, or for all?
Some do take longer, especially if there are .m3u or similar playlist URLs with multiple streams inside.
Hi,
I use roon at two differents places and the problem occurs only on one.
I had roon several years ago and this problem did not occurs too.
Could it be a route/network problem ?
Thank you
Bernard

Hi @Bernard_chabrand ,
Thank you for getting in touch with your question. It looks like you’re running your Roon Server on an underpowered NAS. The Synology DS218 underspec Intel Celeron J3355 dual-core CPU. We recommend an Intel i3 as a minimum on NAS boxes. You can find more information on Roon on NAS in this article from our Help Center .
Do you have another machine you can migrate your Roon Core/Server to as a test? You’re likely to have a better experience and alleviate this problem as well.
Hi,
Everything works well on this NAS.
If it was a CPU problem, why would this delay problem occurs only with webradio streaming and not Qobuz ?
