Using Win 10, latest roon version, I7 processor. Typically the only foreground program/process on core and remote is Roon.
My usual/normal processing speed on a remote pc has been 90x or better. Last two days it was stuck in the low 20’s. I have re-booted both the roon core machine and remote unit without improvement. Happens with either local or Tidal files.
On a whim I disabled then re-enabled DSP (I’m using sample rate conversion (max 2x) and headroom management) and the processing speed “magically” returned to its normal “90x or better”.
Haven’t changed any other program settings or software on my computers.
Roon has been stable otherwise.
I will continue to investigate to see If the problem might be anti-virus or other program related.
