Description of Issue

I’ve been running Roon on this machine with no issues until last week I unplugged the machine and moved it to a new office. That’s all. Now I get an error …

“Roon could not find WGL functions…”.

Excuse me but I have the latest drivers direct from the AMD web-site so the problem is not at my end. As I said, it worked fine until I simply moved the PC to a new office.

This is not a minor glitch - I cannot use the software I’m paying for. Please provide a solution.

Are you on the system when this error occurs or are you remoting into the system?

I have a ‘core’ set up here at the office and another at home. I switch between the two and have never had any issues before. The only place I ever do remote is at home but the problem is here at the office. Like I said, all was golden until I literally moved my PC 20’ down a hallway and plugged it back in !!

That error can happen if you are using Windows Remote Connection to connect to the core, which is why I asked.

The fact that the people who make this software and charge me $$$$$$$ for the pleasure of using can’t even be bothered to monitor their own forums and answer critical questions has, to say the least, bothered me immensely. I’ve done nothing wrong. My drivers are fine. Roon software has crapped the bed, ipso facto I am not getting what I paid for.

Why should I pay this company for zero support and bugged software ? You can’t even contact them directly.

Man - I run Roon thru Bryston gear. Have a problem with a Bryston product ? They’ll be all over you to offer solutions. It’s called caring about the customer.

I un-installed and re-installed Roon completely 4 times. And on the 4th time all of a sudden it has decided to behave. Don’t ask me why… I have no idea. Last time I did go into user/appdata… and made sure to destroy any and all program logs. That might’ve been the kicker.
