This record showed up on someone’s best-of-2017 list and I gave it a few listens over the holidays. It’s not a grabber but it is a grower. To my ears it gets more distinctive as you get further in. Try Power Station if you dig the quieter power of something like Low.

If that works for you, try Big Thief, which also made a lot of best of lists

In fact, listening to this even undecoded makes me laugh at the MQA denyers when they say MQA recordings are worse than CD.
Honestly just play it and wallow in the space between the music. Glorious.
Any artist who takes on these classic songs from Dusty Springfield better be good and bring something to the Table, and luckily Shelby Lynne is and does.
