Hello, I’m new here. :grinning:

SB Touch > RME ADI2 (living room)

Using Oppo 205 DAC, ES9038PRO.

A surprisingly good combo, I would suggest using toslink with it to get it more electrically isolated:

And welcome to the forums

A Falcon Northwest Tiki Windows 10 PC customized as dedicated music server, all SSDs, Nvidia cuda cores, running Roon and HQPlayer up-sampling to 24.6 Mhz, to W4S Recovery, to T+A DAC 8 DSD.

Nice computers, a bit pricey. They used to offer a granite base which I thought was cool.

Thank you, and I agree. Mine is a few years old and does have the granite base. Their newer machines are faster but mine still seems to work well. I re-configured the machine and dedicated it solely as a music server!

I think a well built PC can work very well as a music server and is ideal for use with the T+A DAC!

Is that the Spring2 or the original gen 1 DAC? Are you using the USB input of the I2S?

The Chord Hugo TT continues to amaze me.
Nucleus => Audioquest Jitterbug => Chord Super Sarum USB => Hugo TT.
Absolutely sublime! :sunglasses:

Well, I’ve gotta say, it’s surprised me!
And I do appreciate how lucky I am. I’m not sure it could get any better than this?

Instead of one Chord Super Sarum USB, you could daisy chain about 30 Jitterbugs, that would be JitterFreeSubline! Rub them all with a little snake oil, oh boy!

Original spring.
USB with some conditioning.

@Rugby
A few years ago we were redoing the garden, and we went out to a quarry to buy some rock. A lot of fun, the only thing I ever bought that is priced per ton! Typically $150/ton. (Although the buyer is responsible for shipping…)

I was getting stepping stones and they cut 4” slices from granite boulders.

I was thinking, I could get some like that as a base for a turntable. A lot cheaper than “audiophile granite”.

My TT sits on a granite (I think) paving slab…was about $7 iirc.

I envy you having a Hugo TT, alas it’s out of my current price range.

I’m currently suffering one of those cartoon-esque battles of a devil on my left shoulder telling me to buy a Chord Qutest and an angel on my right shoulder telling me to be conservative with money and just be happy with my Arcam irDAC!

Yeah, I was very dubious too.
Until I listened to it. Damn! :no_mouth:

That devil on your left shoulder wants you to be even happier, and he’s an angel in disguise…
