Audio porn is a thing. And it is expensive.
How is it luck? Surely you have worked hard to earn the money required for such a purchase, unless you won the TT.
So good for you and don’t feel you need to be humble in the face of less well equipped systems owned by others, this after all is life.
Just added this to the system. Very nice piece. My second W4S DAC. Had an original DAC-2.
I still am of the opinion it sounds more musical than my Hugo2. For long sessions I will go to it even though it has “less taps”. There is no fatigue and more warmth . To my ears anyway.

Just got a Hugo 2. I found using a better optical cable gives a warmer, smoother sound than cheap one included or using usb connection.
When I first tried with iPhone camera connect, I actually preferred the original Hugo. Without the optical cable, Hugo 2 wasn’t as musical. Tricks you because hear more of everything but missing the warmth.

I use several DAC’s. A Bluesound Node 2 integrated DAC, the DAC of my Rotel RSP1570 pre-amp and since a while a Rasberry Pi with Ropieee firmware USB connected to an SMSL M100 DAC. That last one is working above all my expectations!
i’m doing a quick comparison of a Ropieee via USB and a Node 2 via coax into a Quad VA-One integrated. what’s been your impression thus far?
PS Audio NuWave DSD and I have a Meridian Explorer (v1) on the desk.
At work I use my iPhone and bluetooth to a Naim Qb–Roon does the first unfold. its background music and the bluetooth probably limits it some also. However it sounds very good.
For home I have a Meridian Ultra Dac–its the grand daddy of them all. Feeding it with a Nucleus+. I have Roon pass thru and do the full unfold in the Meridian. What is astounding is not only the MQA, but what it does to CD’s quality material that is not available in MQA. Its sublime+.

Nucleus USB out to Oppo 205 (~$1200) internal DAC (ES9038PRO chipset). Oppo enabled for high-res/MQA decoding. Stereo out to amp.
Raspberry PI 3B+ with 7" touchscreen running Ropieee USB out to a SMSL M100 DAC ($80 on Amazon). Total price including Rasberry components is around $200. I initially made this Endpoint for listening in my home-office room but it ended up as an Endpoint which satisfies me more than my Raumfeld Connector’s (in Chromecast mode) and even my Bluesound Node 2.
Linn Klimax DSM/3, around $24K in the US.
PS Audio Directstream
Auralic Vega G1 in my main set up and Project Pre Box S2 Digital in my desktop system.
