Description of Issue
Anthem claims the reason I’m having issues with the Roon is related to EDID. I have purchased the nicest EDID managers I could find.
I need to set the audio format that is coming from the Roon Nucleus HDMI A & B. What format is that?
@Isaac_Spear - I suspect that you have a chain of HDMI devices: Nucleus → Anthem → Smart TV.
It’s probably the Smart TV that is causing an EDID handshake issue with the Nucleus. I had this issue when we replaced a Panasonic TV with a Samsung TV
I think that you also need to give some more information about what the other equipment is in your setup, e.g. what the HDMI outputs on the Denon are connected to. And have there been any changes recently.
I say this because my ROCK/NUC worked faultlessly with my Denon AVR when the latter was connected to a Panasonic TV. When we replaced this with a Samsung TV, the HDMI handshaking across the NUC → Denon → TV broke on a regular basis. I had to invest in a Doctor HDMI device between the NUC and …
I believe that I just have the Dr. HDMI device set to its simplest HD setting (1920x1080) - nothing to do with audio formats.
