What’s the difference between these 2 music threads?

I am sorry about some of the musical knowledge and recommendations being relegated (or promoted) to ‘specialist’ threads, and when being asked to initiate a specialist thread for ‘classical’ music have politely declined to do so.

I’m with you on this one. But not many agree with us!

Would it not be better to have just one “what are you listening to…” music thread?

I know we all love our compartmentalisations but sometimes I listen to Jazz, sometimes classical, mainly rock/pop, the odd Canadian artist and loads of Irish artists. In the interest of music discovery I feel it would be best just to have one “listening/ rocking’ music thread. Van Morrison, Neil Young, Aphex Twin, Chxmist, Pavarotti, The Fall, The Chieftan’s, Anda Gaza, Diana Ross…. Let’s all dance together rather than put our music in boxes, categorised and stratified. What do you think? J…
