Almost embarrassed not to have listened to this since I have had Roon, clearly putting it right now.
My only excuse is I probably over listened to it while in university
Simon I donât know these, so added an album for a listen (but probably not today as there is a long queue of albumâs already)
Its not one for Sunday brunch so best left for headphones.
Well I cooked Saturday brunch today instead.
Maybe some late night headphone listening, but I am intrigued now as I didnât think you liked it too heavy.
Had Mrs Harris watching watching Opeth concert in the living room last night (with the warning that it was a show of two halves). She enjoyed the first half enough to stay for the death metal half of the show. I was impressed
A few days ago I posted some albums with music by the German classical composer Carl Friedrich Abel and I mentioned how he as son of Bachâs cellist at the Köthen court became very good friends with Bachâs youngest son Johann Christian.
Here then a delightful album with the six Op. 5 sonatas by Johann Christian Bach, who together with his friend organized concerts in London and became music tutor of Queen Charlotte, young wife of King George III and of German extraction herself.
This is also an invitation to explore the discography of the excellent English harpsichordist Sophie Yates, who has recorded many very well-regarded albums on Chandos or Chaconne. She is known as a specialist for the French baroque repertoire, but does also very well with English, German and Italian music. She also has recorded late Renaissance music from Elizabethan times on historic virginals.
I like it heavy, jusy not metal heavy.
