I wanna know your “Walk On” song.
A walk-up song is what is played as a baseball player walks up to the plate, or when a new pitcher takes the mound.
My personal take? It’s the song the absolutely pumps you UP.
The song you listen to after you nail the interview, after you say “yes” to a first date, when you finally beat your personal best score (laps on the bike, in the pool, on MarioKart).
That one song that fills you with confidence and agreement that
I. am. Badass.
Maybe you haven’t identified yours yet and that’s ok! 2023 can be your year, I believe in you
Been awhile but -
“Radar Love” while dancing like Mr. Blonde in “Reservoir Dogs”
I feel this in my soul, xxx. Like we are kindred musical spirits.
Slade ruled the airwaves in the UK but it was after their time when I heard their songs on anything but a tiny tinny portable radio.
I have to go with this one. Especially from about 2:20 onwards.
(Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!)
Probably have people saying…huh?
But the one that just moves me every time and I feel my virtual fist pumping and air guitar on stun…
I know I’ve already listed one song. But with so many songs. It’s hard to choose.
So I’ll add these 2 as well.
Soundtrack from one of my favorite movies (Vidocq)
(from 0:30 onwards)
(Brutalise me with music)
Depending on the mood/situation
OoooOoo that Bad Like Mi is FUN
(I am not a Rabbit)
A whole raft of songs I’ve never heard of never mind heard. Cue roon.
Great idea for a thread! Here are three tracks that came to my mind right away…
Ooh a fourth one sprung up…
(aka Daniel or Big Dan)
AC/DC “Highway to Hell”. Best “riff/bass/drum” strut ever.
I just play the “like” playlist and stop to what explodes the feeling.
One of the last times was:
(I am not a Rabbit)
My requested exit not entrance song.
for that I cannot be original
Mine would be the theme music from the Game of Thrones TV series. When I walk on, I want everyone wondering who’s going to die.
