Where do I need Tidal to have my download music?

I am signing up for Roon to use with Oppo 205 and tidal content. Today my main tidal device is my iPhone 10 which is where my downloaded music is stored.

I understand I need to use either my MacBook Pro or iMac as a Roon Core and then my phone can be a Roon remote.

My question is, do I need to add Tidal to that core device and/or move or share my Tidal downloaded content to the core device?

You can only stream “real time” through roon. Tidal only gives access to the downloaded music in their own app.
