What DAC model?
It is a SMSL SU-9.
I canāt get out from minimum phase paradigm, SDM 7ECv2@256x48:
1x -> poly-sinc-short-mp
Nx -> poly-sinc-gauss-hires-mp
Has been listening for hours and hours since 4.31.0 release of āembeddedā. Took a looong trip into the Prog goddies: Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Camel, Porcupine Tree and many othersā¦ cant stop. itās just smashing !
@jussi_laako : HQplayer stopped playing randomly after some time.
NUC i7-10510u.
My DSD 256 HQplayer config.

Which filter can the NUC use without drop out and whatās the solution to this issue ?
Have you tried with HQPlayer OS āavx2ā build for reference?
Hi Jussi,
I see your support through this forum, but why does it take so long to get a fingerprint change? Itās a week since I requested a change and whilst the email may have been lost, there has been no follow up to my subsequent request, no confirmation as to whether you even got the mail.
Could you please take a look at this as it is practically unusable in trial mode.
Regards
Please is it regarding my question because am using embedded version?
Two reasons;
- I can respond to forum posts or simple emails anywhere, for example using my phone. But I donāt have key management tools all the time with me and cannot do such things with my phone for example.
- I get 10 - 100x more emails than there are forum postsā¦
I was traveling last weekend during public holiday, so Iām a bit behind on my emails now. Trying to catch up. And also trying to make a new software release.
I have responded to your email that email arrived about 12 hours ago. I try to respond within 48 hours, unless Iām traveling or similar.
No, because you are using Audiolinux which Iām not familiar with. It is always good to use a known baseline OS as a reference. Especially since HQPlayer OS doesnāt require any installation, you can boot it up from a USB memory stick without affecting your Audiolinux installation.
Thanks for responding and for the keyā¦
Please let me understand.
- Install Hqplayer embedded with Linux OS like Ubuntu on a USB stick then test it?
Please how does Hqplayer license work with that method or configure the licence?
Please download the HQPlayer OS and etch to a USB flash drive. Itās a bootable image and the HQPlayer Embedded on it is fully functional.
Hardware fingerprints should be the same so you can use the license you purchased for that machine.
Please what filters do you recommend to run on NUC without stressing the CPU?
Depends on your DAC brand/model and music genreā¦
I think heās just asking which filters, in general, are the least demanding on the CPU.
Exactly - Least demanding filter for lampizator Atlantic se+ DAC and NUC i7
It is very unusual way to select a filter based on itās CPU demands. Usually you select filter based on what sounds best to you, with the music genres you are listening. Rather than the amount of CPU load it has. Of course sometimes hardware limits what you can run, but that depends on many settings.
You are asking the wrong question. You should be asking:
āWhatās the best sounding filter can I run with the hardware I have?ā
Of course one should choose the filter that sounds best, but I am literally floored that a very simple question canāt be answered.
If one really wants to know for a certain case, you can run benchmark with all filters using the null output backend and see which one reports lowest processing time.
