Which small and cheaper USB DAC supports under Roon hardware volume control?

I know, that there are some older threads, but I search a current available DAC (up to 200€), which supports through USB hardware volume control in Roon.
Also this DAC should decode DSD, have RCA outputs (no need for a balanced one) and a display.
Any idea?

I can’t answer your question, but before you worry too much take a look at this paper about roon’s digital volume control from @DrCWO

Even where DACs have device volume, it’s often done via digital control of the DAC chip.

In answer to your question, I just rigged up my spare Topping D10s to a Win10 laptop running Roon Bridge (didn’t want to mess with my RPis) and hardware volume control under Roon seems to work just fine. So, short answer a Topping D10s would fit the bill.

However, as @GregD says, there’s no technical reason to avoid using Roon’s DSP volume control, unless you really need to conserve your core’s resources.

I have the same DAC in my setup, and it sounds as good as a human can possible hear. I do use it as fixed volume though, and use my preamp, but it works fine as a volume control in Roon too.

D10s is great bang for buck (heard not owned) … IMHO roon DSP volume control = still great SQ!
