Why did Roon spontaneously revert itself from Roon 2.0 to 1.8? [Fixed: Update Server Error, Update To v2.0 Using Migration FAQ]

Have you set up the branches folder, installed the roon 2.0 file and renamed it as laid out in the FAQ?

Yes, the procedures in the FAQ you linked to don’t work.

RoonOS Core 2.0 (Nucleus / ROCK)

The names below in red are case-sensitive, capitalization matters

1. Go to the /Data/ share (instructions) and create a folder called branches

2. Download the following file: roon_2-0 (It should be named roon_2-0 and saved with no file extension)

3. Copy the file into the branches folder previously created

4. Rename the file to roon (instructions on how to rename files: Windows / MacOS)

5. In the Web Interface, click “Reinstall” under Operating System

Unable to update my RoonOS (Rock - roon core) to Roon 2.0

I performed the reinstall of the operating system, following the instruction (copying the “roon_2-0” renamed as “roon” in the branches folder as indicated above), again today (stopped the Roon Server software before). Still have the same situation. The Roon servers software is still Version 1.8.
