Why do I get Johnny Cash when I type Nick Cave into the Roon search bar?

When I type Nick Cave into the Roon search bar it always shows Johnny Cash.
When I find an Album from Nick Cave I can use it to find a Nick Cave picture icon.
When I press it Johnny Cash shows up again.
Please help me.

Did you possibly merge Cave and Cash by accident? Check in Roon Settings > Library > Un-merge artists

You are absolute right! I had a lot of artists merged. I didn’t now the function at all…
Now it is wonderfull again. :0)

That’s great! It was a bit of a shot in the dark :slight_smile:

You can merge artists as follows:

  • You need an album where the artist is credited in your Roon library for every to-be-merged artist.
  • Search for the artist or go to the My Artists view.
  • Select two or more artists. A Merge button will appear top right. Clicking it will merge the artists. You can choose which copy of the artist shall „survive“

It’s a handy feature if there are duplicated artists, which can happen in several ways. However, I wonder how merges could have happened without you being aware of it.
