WiiM have announced their next product- an all-in-one streaming amp.
I presume this’ll be Roon Ready (eventually).
This could be a huge hit among Roon users for secondary systems.
Despite an app that looks like Android from ten years ago, WiiM have built an incredibly flexible and solid streaming platform. Early impressions are that the improved DAC in the Pro Plus is well executed so if they can implement a decent class D amp, this could be very enticing proposal indeed…
Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing that and it seems like a great idea for them and many uses with a nice old set of speakers laying around or another room for music.
A bit disappointed that I don’t see a sub out on there, though maybe that will come in the WIIM amp pro model.
This company is really doing good things at the lower end of the market and I hope they can continue to move up towards the middle of the market.

That reminds me of my Octavio AMP which runs my secondary setup.

There’s a sub out labelled right beside the toslink.
No sub out would put me off as well…
It does- and the Octavio is a fine looking piece of kit too.
WiiM’s streaming platform strikes me as more impressive- combining Apple, Amazon, Google and Spotify as well as Roon Ready of course (and quite a few others).
It seems from their own words on the forum that this should come in at at most €450- I’m hoping it comes in even lower.

I’ve hooked up my WiiM Mini to the optical input of the Octavio. Excellent combination. As the Octavio’s own app is kind of sucky. It often looses the connection to the AMP. And it supports fewer services compared to WiiM.

John Darko has an update.
I own a Mini and a Pro. I agree with the comments made here.
I’m glad to see that this new product includes an HDMI port.

I have ordered one that will be the the souce for my newly “approved” greatroom setup that will use KEF ls50 meta’s as the other half. Super excited. Wife uses Amazon music so this opens up a much easier way for her to use this setup.

Great news for the WIIM Amp owners, but patience is required as my Mini-i 4 has been Roon Ready for several days and is still not showing up as certified.
I remember waiting about a week for the WIIM Pro Plus to get it’s update after both announcements went out.
A lot of finger presses on the Check for Updates button happened in that time frame
