Will Roon recognize the AudioCast unit as it did with the ChromeCast?

I can’t find a ChromeCast Audio for Under $100 to try as a Roon endpoint. The new “generic” Audio Cast version on Amazon states it does everything that Chromecast did, but does not mention Roon compatibility. Has anyone tried this?

Roon uses the Google Chromecast protocols to work with Chromecast Audio. This device doesn’t do those. It does support Airplay, though, so it might work with Roon’s Airplay support.

There are quite a number on eBay right now under $100.
They are all live auctions though so you would have to decide your top limit.
Least expensive BIN I saw was $99.
Means they have roughly doubled in price in last two months.
