Too much information.
I don’t remember the first vinyl album but as some others have mentioned I’m sure it was children’s album of some sort. My first cassette purchased with my paperboy money.
The very first album I can remember having of my own was a cassette tape of Tchaikovsky. I think I asked my mom to buy it for me after hearing classical music on the local PBS TV station on Saturday nights as a kid,
Then when I was a little older, early teens, the first two CDs I bought with my own money from mowing lawns were:

Abbey Road closely followed up with Chicago II. I was in JHS when they were released. Before that I remember my Dad driving me around Orange County CA looking for a 45 copy of Snoopy Vs the Red Baron. To his credit we finally found it. He liked to remind me of that search for a long time afterwards.

As a 7 year old I saved up my pocket money and bought this from a local branch of Boots.
I suspect that I only saved a small amount of the total cost and that my parents put in the rest. I have no idea where it ended up!
