Am I the only one that will admit this or something like it?

Hah! That was actually my 2nd album… bought as a gift from my parents, after I received “The Chipmunks Sing The Beatles” from them at age 5. The Partridge Family TV show was a weekly watch with my family. Innocent times.

I’m not sure if it was my first album, but below certainly was one of the first 5 or so - I remember it was a birthday present from my parents. I clearly remembering asking for a Blood Sweet and Tears album, but somehow wound up with the Partridge Family?

I am not sure about the Blood/Sweat part, but the Partridge Family album could definitely provide the Tears   I am 62 and my 58 year old sister made the entire family all be silent while we watched the Sonny & Cher Show so she could record it on her portable mono cassette deck. Thanks for the memories

Same! WHSmith in Bournemouth, I think quite a cool first record for musical cred purposes but don’t tell people it was a close run thing between that and shakin Steven’s album. Clincher probably the tiger pup in the inner gatefold. Shakey didn’t have no tiger cub.

My sister was nuts about David.

My first album, birthday present in 1969:

I got my first album from my youngest uncle (only 6 years older) - he split with his current crush and didn’t like the album she once gave him.

I liked it, and it was a good start of my collection!
Pink Floyd, Obscured by Clouds.

This is the only time I’ve been glad an album doesn’t exist on Qobuz…

What can I say, I was in first grade. It was a Christmas present.

Yes, I did play the hell out of it on my fold down record player,
