Is the comet visible to the naked eye yet and from where?

This comet is now “visible” from any location on the north hemisphere in the vicinity of the Ursa Minor and Polaris (north star). It is not expected to become very bright though. It will be barely (like a smudge) visible to the naked eye from very dark sites. For most other places binoculars or a telescope are needed. Even with optics it won’t look like in the pictures. Those pictures are usually done by taking multiple exposures during an extended period of time. Images are easily done with a DSLR camera, a 30-80 mm lens and a tripod for example. There are plenty of tutorials in YouTube and elsewhere on how to do it.

Apocalyptic tale the revolves around fungus infected zombies that have tendrils, like in your pic, extruding from their mouths.

You really must keep up.

Do the tendrils have a function?

Sucking the life out of their victims?
