Description of Issue

Zones intermittently disappear, causing music to stop during playback. If no music playing, looking at the Audio tab in settings shows that all the zones are intermittently disappearing and reappearing. These are all zones connected via ethernet. This is not the case with zones that are physically connected within the system, such as a USB headphone amplifier connected to a Mac that is not the core.

Issue can sometimes be resolved by rebooting the core. However, it is becoming more and more unstable over time, such that my listening time is now decreasing as it’s becoming too unreliable

Hey @thompo,

Ben with the support team here, sorry for the delay in getting to your thread!

If possible, could you please share a specific date and time the next time you experience one of your zones disappearing? The track playing would be helpful as well.

Based on your initial report, it sounds like there are points in which all zones disconnect, correct?

It sounds like this is an unmanaged switch, so it most likely isn’t playing a part in your issue. Just to be safe though, could you temporarily connect your core directly to your router, bypassing your switch? If you’re able to hardwire any of your zones to your router as well, that would a good test to rule out the switch.

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:
