Yes, my bad, i meant only ISO DSD files
The market potential does not look that great.
Add a great variety of âLinuxâ and the fact Linux users prefer open source and, more importantly, free software.
That attitude is so 10 years ago.
Plenty of userâs choose Linux now to be free of Microsoft and Apple, freedom as in choice.
Look at the forums here and plenty of userâs run Linux and pay for Roon
I am old. And still doubt there are more Linux users around than the browser stats suggest. And itâs still the same kind of people that have been around ten years ago. Or 20. Donât get me wrong: Linux is great for stuff like Rock or ropieee. But it does not make sense business wise on the client side.
Also consider supporting this. You need the same basic headcount in support no matter how many users. This just does not add up.
Tizen and OneUI are not that bad, compared to the competition in the consumer electronics field.
Oh I am not suggesting it does add up or that it is time for Roon to add a full Linux client.
Just Linux desktop share is (very) slowly climbing. I know a fair few youngsters (and quite a few oldsters on this forum) who only run Linux now.

I am late to the party of replying to these great news, as I had practically stopping using Roon due to my existing, but limited use of streaming services (Qobuz) and a very large local library - which Roon was never able to sort properly, especially (but not only) with my large, well curated classical library. From Roonâs search, I never got e.g. a lot of Mahler symphony recordings which I knew I had, and so on. For me, the use turned out to be a desaster, I regretted to have bought a lifetime licence rashly some two years ago, because I had not waited to see that Roon did not do what it promised to go, i.e. find and combine/connect your whole music. But finally, folder views are here, and in the days I have been using it, I find it wonderful to use (and only ask myself: Why oh why did it take years for Roon to give customers like me what they had been asking for for so long) - and Roon finally fulfilling my needs. So, finally I can thank you for listening to customers like me and all these other poor common audiophiles with similiar problems. I do not know if Roon will ever come up with a really working search, but as long as it does not, at least we can now just use the folders. Thanks again!

Wow wow wow!!! Thatâs music to my ears. But be careful, too much love can overwhelm you.
Hello Enno
I really like and champion everything you do. I was initially dismayed with this news because the brilliant Oppo brand disappeared after the harman/Samsung acquisition. Iâm now feeling a lot better after reading your post. I watch this space with interest.
This is music to my ears and I think this is a great strategy by Harman and the Roon founders.
I couldnât help but wonder thoughâŚdoes this mean will we finally get Atmos playback support in Roon? Itâs my biggest desire for Roon, by far, other than stability (which is much better these days).
New improved functionality on a Harmon parent Samsung mobile device would entice me to trade in my late model Google Pro device. But I suspect new features limited to Samsung devices would cause more uproar among the Roon faithful than folder browsing.

I hope this is coming soon, will be waiting patiently
Congratulations on the sale, itâs the best streaming experience out there. But I am saddened and disappointed that I cannot use it any longer due to my progressing ALS. The app does not support Apple accessibility tools. Iâm forced to use this crappy WiiM steamer and abandon the three years I have invested in building my Roon library. Please prioritize this for future builds.
FEIW my WiiM streamer has worked faultlessly for months and give excellent sound.
Seconded. Hands-free operation would be great.
Really not the point.I love the Roon ecosystem.Wiimâs isnât even close to that experience, despite its sound quality. This is a plea to fix Roon for disabled users by supporting Apple accessibility tools.
