I remember this has once been an option in the Roon settings. Ever since 1.8 (I believe) the option has been removed and I since get pop in (more or less frequently depending on which remote device I use).
Before 1.8, I was able to set it to the highest possible setting manually and never (to barely) experienced any pop in.
I hope we can bring this option back as it resulted in a vastly improved album browsing experience for me.
