I can't start Roon Radio from a song IF that song is in a playlist, both local and tidal ones. By starting Roon Radio I mean opening the track menu and selecting the top right icon button "Start radio". It works strating Roon Radio with the same track if I select that same track in its album of origin. Only in playlists I find this issue.
Describe your network setup
I run the Roon Server in my Windows 11 laptop (HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0013nl), Intel(R) Core™ i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz, 1498 Mhz, 4 core, 8 processors, RAM 16GB. I move from 4 different houses a lot so it's always connected to those 4 Wi-Fi routers and I use the laptop also to listen to music. I use my Galaxy A54 as a remote too and to use ARC.
Regarding the playlist issue:
if it’s useful I’ll provide a timestamp:
14 january 2025, 7:57 PM CET
playlist name: “new tunes”
song name (from which I tried starting Roon Radio in ARC by long pressing the song and clicking the icon button “Start radio”): I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All by Father John Misty
I later long pressed again the track, went to its album (in this case a single), long pressed same song again and started roon radio in the same way and this time it worked. Time stamp: 8:00 PM CET
Thank you for your report - I’ve merged your other request to your prior thread. Do you see this issue no matter the Arc device you’re using? Or better, do you have another device outside the Galaxy you could test reproduction with?
Does this happen over wifi as well as cellular data?
Our team will take a closer look into things and should have more information to share this week.
In the meantime I borrowed an IphoneSE2020, downloaded ARC, tried to start Roon Radio by selecting a song in a playlist both with Wi-Fi and cellular data and it doesn’t do anything like in my Galaxy
Apologies for the delay @Riccardo_Sicheri, we have successfully reproduced this issue in-house and have submitted a ticket to our development team for further investigation. While I cannot provide a specific timeline for resolution, I recommend keeping an eye on our software release notes, as updates or fixes may be included in an upcoming release.
