Arc On Mac Question

Although I’ve not used the arc app outside my home I’d like to try it this weekend remotely, my core is my
Mac Mini. Could I ask if any settings on the Mac need setting such as preventing the hard disc from going to sleep etc. do you have to leave the mac always in an active state?.
Also if I installed in a few months on my windows PC should similar none sleep options be selected?, can roon be accessed from a windows pc before passkey is input for example.

Hi @William_C_Mack, Thank you for patiently waiting for a response. Did you get a chance to look at the power settings @Placebophile suggested? Roon 2.0 is a different architecture that now properly observes a Mac’s energy saver settings. Changing the Mac to be always on and to prevent the hard disks from going to sleep usually do the trick in resolving your issues with Roon. Thanks, Wes

Apple Folk ... how to keep iMac awake?

I’m going to try using an external hdd to hold my music, instead of my NAS. I hear that will speed up finding new music, right? But my 2019 Mac keeps falling asleep. I checked the box that tells it not to, and enabled network access, doesn’t seem to work. Any thoughts ? Am I doing something wrong? The iMac seems to work well as a core but I want it always available without having to wake it up. Thanks!

ARC not connecting on cellular

Roon Core Machine Mac Studio M1 Max 32 G RAM Networking Gear & Setup Details Verizon Quantum Gateway Ethernet no VPN Connected Audio Devices Number of Tracks in Library 22K tracks Description of Issue ARC not working on cellular when I leave the house. When conncected to wifi in home works flawlessly. If I switch to wifi when not at home I can connect to Core with no problem.
