Yesterday when listening to an album from My Albums playback suddenly stopped. I then noticed that albums in My Albums where deleted automatically one after the other ending with 325 albums from initially 4000+ albums. I use Qubuz as source. I checked in Qobuz during the drop out and it seemed that the albums were available there. I then removed Qobuz and added it again, the albums were then loaded again. What happened here? I was quite shocked as you might imagine. Thanks for your support!
Describe your network setup
AVM FRITZ!Box 7590 - WLAN bridge to - AVM FRITZ!Box Repeater 1200 AX, form there LAN cable to Meitner MA3, Roon server runs on a MacBook Air M1
Hi Daniel,
no, it never happened before and did not happen again since yesterday.
I just checked the number of albums in My Albums and it magically increased from 4292 to 4302 since some hours ago without me doing anything. So something must be going on in the background!
Regards, Knut
What I tried to say is that the number of albums is changing (increasing and decreasing) without me adding or removing albums manually. So there must be going someting on in the background database.
But main issue here remains the removal of approx. 4000 albums! What might be the reason for this?
Thanks.
Are you only seeing issues in relation to your Qobuz library?
If you’re still having issues, I’d see about simplifying your network setup and test if you can reproduce the issue. If you connect your Mac running Roon Server directly to your primary router, bypassing all other network gear, do you still have issues?
There is now way to simply my network, the MacBook is directly connected to the primary router via WLAN (no Ethernet port on the MacBook anyway). The Repeater is only used to connect the Network player via LAN cable.
I only use Qobuz for streaming, no other source.
Sometimes Roon server looses connection to the Audio player (No audio zone selected appearing). Restarting Roon fixes this.
Any news here?
I just read the changes for Roon 2.0.43, where it says: Resolved an issue where Qobuz albums could disappear when the internet connection is unstable
Does this adress the issue here?
This would be fine, although instead of the nice little icon for Meitner MA3 an ugly loadspeaker icon is shown now. Could you bring the old one back? Thanks.
Please check your Device setup settings in Roon’s > Audio for the MA3i - you should be able to choose the correct icon in the Audio device section of the Device setup screen.
I’m not familiar with this device; is the MA3 different to the MA3i? The fact that it shows as uncertified seems to imply that it has not yet cleared the Roon Labs certification process. Perhaps @support can say more?
Hi @knut_krimmel,
I can confirm that the MA3 is a certified device. The MA3i is not. Other customers who have had this problem resolved it by refreshing their database. You can use the below instructions to try that.
Yes, like it was before
So questions about my albums still remain.
In Home it says 4586 albums, in My Library → Albums it says 4550. What is the reason for the difference?
And the intial loss of 4000 albums was this Qubuz/Network issue that has been resolved with the update?
Does it make sense to run Roon server on a new Mac Mini M4 without anything else on it?
