Description of Issue

Hi,
I have a nasty issue with my new Beosound Theatre soundbar. Audio playback is working fine with Roon streaming over AirPlay. Volume Control with B&O’s own remote control BeoRemote One BT is not working correctly: Volume up works but Volume down starts at first but then stops, the action looks like a little bit like a fight “remote control vs. roon’s volume control”.

Volume Control with another B&O device and remote control, Besound Shape, is working fine, no issue there. Apple Music on an iPhone using AirPlay, no issue whatsoever with volume control on the remote controlling the Theatre - jhust to debug potential AirPlay 2 issues with a new product which has latest firmware from B&O, version 2.3.4 from November 20th 2022.

I tried the “Fixed Volume” setting on Theatre’s audio setting, but boy, the experiment was earth-shaking as music is starting with max volume on a device delivering 800W 112 dB sound pressure level. My spouse and my two cats were not amused

What can be done?
Thanks for reading,
Alex, a passionate Roon user and ICT specialist.
