Hi,

I’ve just pushed out an early beta for the next release.

Besides the usual ‘under da hood’ stuff (updated packages on all levels, among others), this contains an updated UPnP component because there are issues with Audirvana, and an updated kernel.

@Chris.Ha Although I think its a small chance… you might try this one out. It has the latest stable Raspberry Pi kernel, so we could then ‘definitively’ rule out the kernel.

I just updated mine to 3393 beta . And now pcm audio is heavily distorted. I have to upsample everything in roon to DSD to get no distortion.

UPNP with Minimserver/JPlay for iOS works fine here (PCM and DSD)

I’ve had no audio issues with My IQAudio HAT (but don’t use DSD).

I’m having screen problems though. The extension is enabled though and the screen is showing the music progression fine but play/pause/skip/prev doesn’t work. Volume interactions work (on the screen) but don’t do anything (on the backend).

Hi Leen, you’re not having the screen interaction issue I mentioned above? My setup is a Rpi4 with Display 1 and the screen now doesn’t work controlling Roon anymore.

Huh. Rebooted the endpoint again and now screen interactions working fine. Was a weird error though (never seen that behaviour before in >2yrs). Did the feedback log show anything much Harry?

Sorry for the late reply, but no the logs showed nothing out of the ordinary.

So I was also a little bit surprised. I’ve increased the log level a bit for the next build.

Hey Harry, I upgraded my other display unit without any issues so whatever it was it seems it was a one-off.

Hi,

I’ve pushed out another beta build. Next to some translation work, the only change is support for providing an IP address for a Songcast server (like Music Assistant).

Nothing exciting, just some updates all over the place.
I want to make sure everything is ‘ok’, so we can move forward towards a stable release.
