Blank screen after minimising roon app

Hi

just trialing roon - using windows 10 64 bit - using bluesound wirless speakers and TIDAL
when I minimise Roon app and then open again I get a blank roon screen with a tiny hand cursor.

I have changed my screen resolution to accommodate screen size

Thanks

Peter

Does your PC use an intel HD graphics card?
If so try updating the drivers, a quick search of this forum will help.

Hello @Peter_Reilly,

I would also give Roon 32-bit a try if this issue is Graphics Card related as we have seen 32-bit Roon help with similar issues. Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Noris

thanks but did not work

did not help
Thanks

Hi
I have already posted this comment and can add that when Roon starts up the intro message graphic is slightly clipped also. I have had responses including updating my graphics card and downloading 32 bit roon version, unfortunately neither of these helped
Any more suggestions
Thanks
Pete

Hi @Peter_Reilly ----- Thank you for the post and sorry to hear of the continued troubles!

Being as you had already started a thread addressing this behavior you are experiencing I have went a head and consolidated everything “here” so our support team can keep track of the issue and what has already been tried in terms of troubleshooting.

May I kindly ask you to please provide the exact model of graphics card you are using and the driver version?

Thanks!
-Eric

Hey Peter,

Unfortunately there’s very little we can do when a graphics drivers is not performing properly – I understand this appears to be a Roon issue, but I explained in more detail here about why there’s very little we can do when a driver has these sorts of issues.

If you can let us know what you’re seeing in Device Manager (generally you’ll find your GPU under “Display Adapter”), we can do a bit more research and see if Intel has released a driver for your device that might help resolve this.

Thanks and sorry for the trouble here!

Hi
I’ve attached details of graphics driver , hope you can help

Hello @Peter_Reilly,

Thanks for letting us know that information. It seems that you are using Intel HD 4000 series which is known to cause issues within Roon, please take a look at @mike’s post here: (Roon Becomes Unresponsive - Ghosted Out Completely) . I would try re-installing the graphics drivers or checking to see if there are newer ones available on Intel’s site directly (not your PC manufacturer’s site).

Thanks,
Noris
