Not really a “problem” so to speak, but more of an oversight on your part…
In settings I have treat MQA set to worse than lossy.
You would think that with that setting it would look for a different version of that song. Like from Qobuz. It doesn’t. The ONLY reason that I keep Tidal is that they do really great multi hour play lists. That was also a hint to you guys.
So what would be really great is when MQA is selected as lower than whale poop, you find a different version of the song from a service you have a subscription to. Capice?
Not sure if the Playlist Improver feature is available where you’re looking. On the left-hand side of the Roon controller app look for the “Playlists” option and select a playlist that you created / added in the drop-down menu. I’ve pointed to where you can find the Improver icon, if improvements are available…
Try saving a TIDAL playlist as shown below and then go to “Playlists” and select the TIDAL playlist you saved to see if the Improver feature appears as shown above…
Have you saved these playlists to your library? Otherwise, it’s going to play the tracks either Roon or TIDAL have curated for the playlist. Playlist improver will only work once the playlist is added to your library.
