Bricasti M12 in the Man Cave

I recently upgraded my digital chain from:

Windows 10 NUC as Roon Server (HDPlex LPS)
ultraRendu (LPS 1.2 from the HDPlex)
Giso Ethernet Isolation prior to ultraRendu
Bryston BDA-3
Wired4Sound STP SE (upgraded)

To:

QNAP TVS-682 (i3/8gig) NAS
Bricasti M12

I continued:

VPI Scout+K&K Audio Maxxed Phono Amp
Oppo 203+Roku (optical to M12)
McIntosh MC60 mono amplifiers
Zu Audio Druid V + Undertone Speakers

Not a cheap unit, I banked a lot of spousal tolerance. I did listen at Axpona, so I did the best auditioning I could. This is one of the few units that has Ethernet Streamer+DAC+Preamp function. I needed one with analog input for vinyl. Roon endpoint, check. DSD128 via Ethernet to a DSD specific DAC board.

Easy setup, plugged it in, and it was live. M12, and, I assume, M1, M5, and variants, have excellent Roon integration. On my control computer I can change the volume on the M12, and read the volume number on the control device. I setup DSP in the NAS to upsample to DSD128.

The sound is astonishing. This box totally filled out the soundstage, which is now wide, deep, and tall. Very detailed, yet not shrill, nor harsh. Even the wife was impressed with SQ, which is not her usual.
